Music plays what role?

While watching a murderer, I feel like there is so much bias towards Avery. The show is basically for him! When watching you can feel the different music tense when there is going to be a sketchy scene or when their trying to show that Avery was just in a tough place, they'll play sad and depressing music. I feel like if there wasn't any type of music lingering in the background we might have different perceptions of Avery's role in the whole situation. People might be less biased or might have a different opinions on whether or not justice was totally against him. In my opinion, the show was just a way to show that he was in so many bad situations with law enforcement and that he should be pardoned.

Reflection of Making a Murderer Episode 1

Questions to Answer about Making a Murderer

1.) What is surprising?

2.) What is problematic?

3.) How can we use writing and communication to participate in addressing this problem?

4.) Discuss your favorite part (even if it is the most troubling). Why and how did it appeal to you?

The thing that I found surprising while watching Making a Murderer was how much different law enforcements would do in order to make sure one person is made guilty even if they weren't. The state of Wisconsin made it their job to make sure that they found Avery guilty and that if he wasn't that it would not fall on their shoulders.
What I found problematic was that an innocent man could be put away for more then a decade and that any attempt to prove his innocence would be denied. This makes you question the justice system and the saying "innocent until proven guilty". If you are made to seem guilty by everyone then how could you prove that you are telling the truth. Also, the one person who was guilty was free even when certain people thought it could be him. If people would of communicated better when it came to prove Allen had actually committed the crime, then Avery would of never been made guilty. Different reports also weren't documented accurately. If they would of been accurate and if all the facts  would have been taken into account Avery would of never been falsely accused.
My favorite part was when avery got out in 2003. Justice was finally in his favor after more then a decade in prison he finally got to be with his family again. Also, when DNA proved that he was innocent.
